doing it differently – kylee davis
Continuing with our theme of ‘doing it differently’, I am looking at Knitwear Queen Kylee Davis. Kylee has been making beautiful knitwear for seventeen years with labels we all know, Insidious Fix, Stitch Ministry, and now under her own name, Kylee Davis. What she is doing differently from most, is really bringing the personal touch to the selling of each garment. As well as her knitwear being stocked in Browns of London, her knitwear is stocked at The Supply Room, Superette stores in Auckland and White Willow in Balcutha. But that isn’t all. Kylee travels each season to the main centers and holds a private showing of her knitwear for clients to come through and see and touch the garments and order from there. You get the most amazing individualized service, that is most definitely ‘different’ from the norm. If you wish to go on her ‘list’ to know when she will next be in your area, contact her asap on email@example.com.
Kylee is showing her current season, along with Trelise Cooper and Boardroom as part of the Designer Showcase Luncheon this coming Wednesday 24 April at the Sofitel in Auckland. Lunch is a three course meal for $99 which includes the fashion show from the two designers. If you wish to book do so here, or call the Sofitel on 09-361 1000. Kylee will be showing the range privately after the showing so if you wish to book a time with her, you can contact her on the above email.
These are four pieces that I particularly love from her current collection Hooting and Howling AW2013, and you can see her entire collection on-line at kyleedavis.com I just love the violet colour she has used through this collection, and especially the wraps which double as scarves, shawls for a cool evening or even to use to wrap over a coat on a particularly cold night. I have shawls like this that I bought back from England with me and I am still using all these years later, and I often get asked where people can find them – so now I can steer people in the right direction!
