urbis – the art of living

The new issue of URBIS is out – this issue is all about the art. With its eye popping cover of Max Patte’s Wellington home which is filled with the both the painter/sculptor’s art, and also with props from the Peter Jackson films he has worked on – it is a whole lot of fabulous packed on a tiny hillside space.

Also featured is Miranda Harcourt’s home – also hill-sited in Houghton Bay, Wellington. Quite literally brimming with artwork, and beautiful walls colours to boot – the international acting coach (who has worked with Susan Saradon, Ryan Gosling, and Mark Walhberg amongst others) has a home to covert.

My favourite might just be architect John Henry’s converted Melbourne warehouse space filled with the largest collection of designer chairs that you could possibly imagine! Any design classic chair you can think of (and quite a few you can’t) seems to be included in this vast and colorful collection.

Issue 80 of URBIS is out now. It is a goodie.
