citta – london town w2013
The CITTA design team turns its eyes to London Town for its inspiration this season. Instead of just focusing on the city, the design team led by Imogene Tunicliffe has chosen to focus on the people and personalities of London. The Vintage is modeled perfectly by Imogene Tunicliffe herself. With London being the spiritual home of vintage, there are lots of clashing colours, contrasts and textures. I love the Princess and The Pea bedding range, oversized paisley and the knitted stripes. The Eccentric, with his charming quirkiness is perfectly embodied by WORLD’s Benny Castles. I love the oversized tartan, pretty Magical Woodlands of Hampstead Heath bedding, and brightly coloured candles. The Proper Gent is man-about-town Paul Baragwanath who is the epitome of charm, culture and gallantry. With a houndstooth dressing gown, leather satchels and union jack covered hold-alls there is something for every well dressed man.The English Rose is perfectly modeled by the very beautiful clothing designer Juliette Hogan. With sumptuous velvet cushions and throws, oversized houndstooth covered towels and pretty accessories, this collection is all about the feminine. The Sloane is fashion conscious and understated. Cleo Fashion Editor Gemma Young is that Sloane. There are plaids, touches of silver, and perfect kitchen ware in simple neutral tones with a slightly indulgent edge.
The collections are in store already. The new CITTA Design Store is also now open at the BLOC in Mt Eden. It has taken over the entire space vacated by Bo Concepts (which has moved upstairs to the second floor).
